I can assist you designing both the packaging box and the graphics but the costs will be different since designing of the box will require the following:
1. Obtaining samples from you to design the best size (s) and shape.
2. Developing prototypes of the packaging concepts and assemble them to determine their functionality
3. Test different art board thicknesses to provide the best protection to the product
4. Obtaining quotations for the cutting mold that will be used to trim the printed packaging (one off payment)
If what you need is just require the artwork I will request from you the dimensions and shape of the packaging box you have selected so I can design the graphics accordingly. Ask your preferred printer if they have the cutting die for a packaging box with the right dimensions for your product and they might be able to help you. This could save you spending on the cutting form and the design of the packaging itself.
I gather as much information about your project and your expectations over the phone or in a meeting. Some samples of your product will be required if you need the design of the box. You will be asked for the box dieline (template files) if you have them from your packaging supplier.
You will receive a quotation outlining all the activities to be performed, timing and costs.
If the quotation meets your expectations, an initial installment of 50% is required to commence the design work.
The first concepts are developed and emailed to you in pdf format betIen 3 to 5 working days after your payment is received. The presentation will include a 3D computer rendition of each concept so you can visualize the product in use.
You can provide me with your feedback on the first concepts by email, by phone or in a meeting. If possible I can have an online meeting where you will be able to see my screen from your computer and make the changes to the concept in real time.
If required by the project some prototypes will be built to test the shape, size, performance and capacity of the packaging concept. I will evaluate the prototypes and your feedback on them to fine tune the design concept.
Once you have approved the concept the production files are prepared and delivered to you and the packaging supplier in a CD.
The final payment is due once all the documentation has been delivered to you.
