Brochures are ideal when you need to add more space to add information about your services or products and still using a cost effective solution. Brochures are different to flyers since they make use of folding panels to divide the information contained. With more space and panels you can sort the contents (prices, product ranges, company overview) in a more proffesional way. To design a nice and effective brochure you will need an eye catchy front cover, and a well distributed content.
The standard formats for brochures are DL, A5 and A4 being the DL the most popular due to its cost and practical size. Depending on the application and the way in which the brochure will be distributed, you can make use of different stock paper to provide an economical or high end look and feel. From 100 gsm (same as bond paper) to 250 gsm (thicker stock) you can tailor the design of your new brochure.
With a turnaround of 3 to 8 working days for the design plus 5 working days for commercial printing (depending on the amount of revisions and current workload), some samples of brochures design I have developed include:

Australian Money Planners brochure: A Financial Services Guide Consisting of a foldable brochure of 14 pages (7 panels) printed on both sides. This document is to be given away and contains text and graphics only (no images). It is an informative document with a corporate image embedded into it.
Sageleaf DL brochure: As part of their advertising material a foldable DL pamphlet was designed containing a description of their menus including images, text and graphics distributed on both sides of the 3 panels.
Sageleaf DL lunch boxes brochure (PDF available for download): Some product photography was required for the design of this deliciously looking brochure. It was designed with emphasis on images of food and to encourage the corporate market to contact Sageleaf and ask about the new lunch boxes.
Human Process brochure (PDF available for download): To be distributed locally, this brochure was designed to grab the attention of the potential clients before they decided to dispose of it. By using a strong image on the front page and a single phrase the message is immediately sent across. The use of images have to be prioritized over the use of text when you want to capture the attention of your audience.
Bearfeet impressions brochure (PDF available for download): Making use of baby colours (pastels) and a modern-dynamic approach for the layout, this brochure was designed to promote the company's products at hospitals and child care centres.
Makoha Spa brochure (PDF available for download): By using the shape of the company's new logo , a very dynamic and modern brochure was designed for Makoha Spa. This is the kind of brochure that the users will prefer to keep and share with their friends and family.

Invoke Natural Skin Care DL brochure: Developed as a price list to be sent out to potential customers and retailers. This brochure was designed also to promote the products at trade fairs.
Access DL brochure (PDF available for download): This brochure was designed to be printed in 2 formats: as a DL brochure and an A4 leaflet. It can be used either way and the artwork looks good because of the wise solution found for the elements within the layout.
Herbon A4 brochure (PDF available for download): An A4 brochure consisting of 4 pages (A3 folded into A4) and designed with a clean and fresh look to blend in with the applications of this company's products.
The prices for this type of advertising material varies depending on factors such as:
- The paper used
- Paper thickness and stock finish
- Number of pages
- Document size
- Number of images used
- Photography required
- Volume
